They say business isn’t personal, but in my case, it is (in the best way possible!). A bit about me—I started my business because I wanted to share my passion for creating beautiful moments, especially those big important moments, you know, like your wedding day. I’m taking you back to my inspiration for this business, my big day!
Every girl has a vision for their wedding and mine was vintage travel. I pinned the perfect inspirations on Pinterest, picked out my colors (coral, navy, ivory and gold), fell in love with a dress, and picked out a beautiful venue. Now it was time to try to pull it all together. And here is where the challenge began. You see, I was living on the East coast while trying to plan a West coast wedding. Whew!
I have to give credit where credit is due. My beautiful wedding day would not have happened without the help of my Mom, Janelle. Being so far away, I needed a lot of help to bring my vision to life. She came to me with the idea for the centerpieces and I just loved it. We would use small suitcases filled with little vintage treasures like: globes, vintage cameras, post cards, pearls, vintage wedding photos, cake toppers and more. But where were we going to find all the things???
The day of my wedding came and I couldn’t believe how well organized my Mom had all the decorations. She handed over the inventoried list to the wedding planner (oh, if I could only count the many many reasons I HIGHLY recommend hiring a wedding planner, but I digress) and I was whisked off to the bridal suite where I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing. It was all being handled.
It was such a magical moment when I finally got to go downstairs and peek at the reception area. My vision had come to life! And I loved every element! Every where I looked, there was something new to see. The centerpieces were so interesting, each one a little different from the next. There were little vintage vignettes throughout the venue and it just felt so personal, so me.
